Manual Lawn Mowers

The lawns were long before electrical appliances were introduced to attend them. The same goes to the devices that run on petrol. But lawns needed to be mowed somehow and it was done manually. With the advent of technological progress and all the innovations appearing all the time it is hard to image that hand driven lawn mowers are still in demand. But if you stop to think about it, there are good reasons for such mowers to keep their place on the market.

Push (manual) mowers are a beneficial option for people whose loans can not boast having a lot of space. Lawns in town houses, rooftop gardens and small pretty yards in suburbia can be mowed with the help of such lawns. They are available in different variants of quality, noise-levels, and environmental benefits. Manual lawn mowers are also called "reel mowers" or mowers that use human power and not the one of the engine.

Surely enough, we have got electric lawn mowers. But the thing is that they are not always really convenient with the electric cord always interfering with the work, or a battery getting low. Moreover, such devices (by understandable reasons) cannot be used when the grass is wet even a little. Therefore a lot of people give their preferences to push lawn mowers.

Pluses:

  • Manual lawn mowers are the quietest thing possible. Therefore, even the most demanding client will be pleased.
  • Those that are lightweight are really durable and convenient in any way possible. Besides, they do not do any harm to the environments since they use no gas and live no waste. They also do not produce any noise, which is really a plus.
  • Modern lawn mowers are easy to handle and does not require that the blades were sharpened every three years.
  • The reel mower does not resemble the rotary blades when it comes to cutting grass. The former, actually, is a better choice as the lawn stays healthy and does not wither. It is definitely a good thing as a dead dry lawn is not likely what you wanted.
  • Manual lawn mowers are pretty inexpensive as long as you do not pay for any maintenance services.
  • This is the best ever choice for the lawns that can not boast large space.

Minuses:

  • It is a hand driven device and therefore it can be pretty hard to work with it when it comes to bigger lawns.
  • Bumpy and sloppy lawns will be a challenge to such a hand driven devices.
  • As well as they are not presupposed for the grass that is overgrown or wet.
